1.3.5 Tests

The extensive battery of psychological tests is Queendom's signature feature. Information gathered from test-takers allows us to conduct scientific studies, validate our assessments and fine-tune them based on the results and conclusions drawn from the statistical analyses.

All test questions must be answered before the test can be scored. At some point during the test administration, you may receive a Validation study form. This is a set of demographic and psychographic questions that are not used to score the test; rather, this information serves as a benchmark of a specific characteristic (also called a criterion measure). We then statistically analyze the test and the validation information to see how well the test scores predict the criterion

What information is collected:
a)
All answers entered into the online questionnaire form (answers to all questions administered to you are required to score the test).
b) All information entered into the Validation study form (all optional).
c) If you are logged into your account, your username/email address is automatically recorded. If you are not logged in, you are considered to be a "guest".

The report of any test taken anonymously will not be saved but test data will be recorded for statistical purposes. You have the option to participate in our validation study by answering a set of questions that are not part of the assessment. If you don't wish to participate, simply skip the validation question.
Your control: You can change or remove information from your account at any time. To do so, log into your account, click on "My info" in the left navigation menu and modify your information.
Access: Authorized database administrators have access to all data stored in our databases. Authorized customer service representatives access your data if a problem with your account is reported. Our statisticians and psychologists have access to the data sets. All data are treated anonymously. Aggregated results and conclusions drawn from the data are distributed to the psychological community and general public.

1.3.6  Polls, surveys, ad contests

Polls and surveys continuously run on Queendom. All data is collected anonymously and analyzed on an aggregate basis.

1.3.6.1  Polls

Session ID (cookies) is used to identify whether you already answered a specific poll to prevent duplication of data. If you already answered a poll, you can view the poll results but you cannot vote again.

1.3.6.2  Surveys

Queendom surveys are, in essence, scientific psychological studies conducted online. While the questions in these surveys are very personal, no personally identifiable data (PII) is collected in these studies. We do not ask for e-mail addresses or names of our participants. Queendom.com collects and analyzes the data from our surveys on an aggregated (collective) basis.

Many of our surveys offer you the possibility to make comments or answer open-ended questions. We publish a selection of such responses in the articles based on the surveys. All comments are posted anonymously.

All fields in the surveys are optional. As with any research project, the integrity of our data is paramount. From statistical perspective, it is desirable to have as complete data as possible. However, if you are not comfortable answering certain questions, we prefer if you skip them (we prefer missing data over incorrect/inaccurate data).

What information is collected:
a)
All information entered into the online survey form (all fields are optional).
b) Certain demographic information that is not personally identifiable - such as gender, age, education, sexual orientation etc.
c) Even if you are a registered Queendom member, your username is NOT recorded.
d) Session ID is recorded.
e) IP number is recorded.
f) Date and time stamp are automatically recorded.
Why: To conduct scientific studies and publish articles with our findings on the website and in scientific literature.
How: Data collection is done using an online form; the data are stored in a database.
Your options: You can skip any field.
Your control: You cannot change or remove any answer once you completed the survey.
Access: Our statisticians and psychologists have access to the data sets. All data are treated anonymously. Aggregated results and conclusions drawn from the data are distributed to the psychological community and general public.

1.3.7 Contests

From time to time, we may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests on our site. If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and email address), and demographic information (such as city, state, province, or country).

We use the contact information to notify contest winners and award prizes. The demographic information is used to analyze traffic and user preferences. The demographics are analyzed anonymously and results are reported on an aggregate basis only.

1.3.8 Submissions of material

1.3.8.1  Chaise Longue and Counseling Network

Visitors who submit a question to be answered in the Chaise Longue section of the website do so via an online form. Selected questions are answered by one of the counselors and posted in the Chaise Longue section of the website. Because of large volume of submissions, we cannot guarantee that any particular questions will be selected to be answered in the Chaise Longue. This is a free service intended to educate the public and offer suggestions to visitors with common problems. The questions may be answered by any therapist who is a member of the Counseling Network.

What information is collected:
a) Nickname/name is a required field in the question submission form.
b) Other fields, including email address and demographic information, are optional.
c) Even if you are a registered Queendom member, your username is NOT recorded.
d) Date and time stamp are automatically inserted into the form.
Why: Questions submitted to the Counseling Network may be answered by one of the counselors and posted in the Chaise Longue section of the website. Your email address may be used to communicate with you to inform you that an answer to your question has been posted or to send you the response to your question directly.
How: Data collection is done using an online form. The information is stored in a (secure?) database from which the counselors can select questions they wish to answer.
Your options: The nickname/name, and message text are required fields in this form and you cannot use this service without entering them. You can skip any fields that are not required.
Your control: You can contact any of the counselors who are members of the Counseling Network if you wish to have your questions answered privately, want to ensure that your question gets answered, or wish to receive a response from a particular counselor. Most of our counselors offer email or phone sessions for a small fee.
Access: All members of the Counseling Network and Queendom's program administrator have access to all information you submit using this form.
