Psychodynamic (looking at the unconscious processes in any situation):
What unconscious processes are at work when somebody becomes involved, say, in a destructive relationship or an affair?
How do our behavior patterns replay feelings we have known (probably since childhood) again & again?
What bonds do these behaviors allow us to maintain - unconsciously - with our pasts?
What's necessary to actually break free from what we, apparently, still need?
How do we change? What's necessary for change and growth?
Margaret "Peg" Burr performs psychodynamic psychotherapy with individual adult clients as well as couples, teens, and families. She also runs groups for adults and adolescents. Her specialty area is Object Relations Systems Theory. This branch of psychodynamic psychotherapy uses a client's interpersonal relationships as windows into his or her intrapsychic structure.

Maragaret "Peg" Burr, MA, MFT, is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC34374) with a private practice in Santa Clarita (near L.A.). Her undergraduate degree is in art, her graduate degree is a master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. She is member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
