People tend to get "hooked" on sexual turn-ons they developed in the early exploration of their sexuality. You no doubt started watching yourself when your adolescent sex drive was very strong, your curiosity very intense and long before you had any partners. Some might classify this as narcissistic behavior, but it is probably just a habit. I would worry if it has become the only way you can orgasm or if it has become a substitute for finding satisfaction with a partner. Sexual habits become problems when they become a requirement!
