Painful sex life
QUESTION:
Zakir, 30-year-old manI am a married man with a 3-year-old daughter. My wife and I have never had a proper sex life - my wife is so scared of pain during penetration. I've asked her to see a doctor but she won't go. We love each other and I will never leave her but I want to have a proper sex life with her. What should I do?

Dear Zakir,
Continue to be loving and supportive to your wife - it could be something either physical or psychological. Keep encouraging her to begin with a physical exam from her regular doctor, if she hasn't already. The personal physician will know whether to refer her for a psychological evaluation, possibly with a sex therapist. In the meantime, your love and support are very crucial; you might want to offer to accompany her to these evaluations. God bless you both.
